I positioned myself as a foreigner in an attempt to find an imaginary country, stumbling upon an Eastern reality when trying to portray the melancholy of not feeling at home and the desire to leave. The almost invisible Chinese immigrants in the downtown area were the right people for this portrait, and their collaboration and participation were essential when composing this story. Deep down, we are all very similar.
