李伯仁（郑伊健 饰）是澳门赌场的服务生，由于他技巧高超，所以两年来他的桌子一直赢钱，从未输过。不过，伯仁不甘心做一个小喽啰，希望能有朝一日去赌城拉斯维加斯风光。可是，当他把这个梦想告诉同伴，却遭到对方一阵奚落。偏偏此时，他又被女友抛弃，走投无路之际，他要同伴将保险箱的钱借给他做赌资，同伴开始并不同意，后被他慷慨激昂的演说打动，铤而走险。他们来到赌城，手风很顺，可到了终盘，却被一个长发男子击败。心灰意冷的伯仁接连遭遇不测。一场车祸后，伯仁在医院醒来，此时他见到了负责此案调查的美丽女干探提娜（张柏芝 饰）。在交往中，伯仁揭穿了提娜男友真面目，导致二人分手。与此同时，他们的命运竟然也因红番回头石而发生了翻转……A young man goes to Las Vegas with his best friend to prove he can win big bucks. When he loses all of the money, he and his friend get help from a young woman who tells the man the story of some special stones that are part of a legend involving time travel and parallel universes. When the trio get in a car accident, the young gambler is the only survivor. Pursued by a female detective, the two accidentally end up back in time on Christmas Day, where the gambler decides to make the wrong things right, and he also ends up falling in love with the detective.
