某小学，少年今里大悟（澁谷武尊 饰）用石头砸死了痛苦不堪的兔子，虽然他为兔子实现了解脱，但是他的行为惹来周遭人们的不满与非议，大悟和姐姐桐子（満島ひかり 饰）都成为了他人嘲讽的对象。桐子和大悟是一对同父异母的姐弟，他们的父亲公平（香川照之 饰）是一个童话绘本作家，两任妻子的死亡让他疏忽对孩子们的教导，只一心沉湎于童话的世界。而桐子早年也因一场变故让她丧失说话的能力，她用文字和最疼爱的弟弟交流。 在姐弟俩观赏3D恐怖片《战栗迷宫》时，银幕中的兔子飞出来落到了大悟的手中。这个神奇的兔子姐弟俩相继带入一个瑰丽离奇的世界，也由此揭开了这个家庭尘封十年的痛苦记忆……After killing an injured rabbit, the boy Daigo does not go to the classes anymore and his older half-sister, the librarian Kiriko, becomes his tutor. They live with their father, the book illustrator Kohei, but he does not care to Diago. One day, Kiriko goes with Daigo to the movie theater to watch the 3-D film "The Shock Labyrinth" and Daigo catches a rabbit that comes out of the screen. Soon Daigo has nightmares with a big rabbit and one night, Kiriko follows him and believes that his mother Kyoko is attacking him dressed in a rabbit costume.
