夏の佐渡島を舞台に、ソフトテニスを通じて2人の少女と周囲の人々に起こる変化を描いたハートフルドラマ。東京から日本海に浮かぶ島へと転校してきた中学3年生の亜季と、島で生まれ育った珠子。前の中学校で所属していたソフトテニス部で心に傷を負った亜季は、離れて暮らしていた父・雅也のもとにやってきたのだが、そんな事情を知らない珠子は、亜季にソフトテニスを教えてほしいとねだる。その熱意に押されて再びラケットを握る決意をした亜季だったが、村にはテニスコートがない。2人は廃校の校庭にコートを作ろうと奔走する。主演は「おはガールちゅ！ちゅ！ちゅ！」のメンバーとしても活躍し、女優として「だいじょうぶ3組」などに出演してきた平祐奈と、「Seventeen」専属モデルで「悪夢ちゃん」などに出演してきた大友花恋。Aki transferred from Tokyo to a school on a rural island. Tamako was born and raised on the island. Now, they attend the same middle school. Aki was a member of the soft tennis club back in Tokyo, but an incident caused her to leave behind her mother and older sister and move in with her father Masaya on the island. Tamako asks Aki to teach her soft tennis. This inspires Akito pick up her racket once again. Unfortunately, the area doesn't have a tennis court. Aki and Tamako try to make a court on the campus of a shutdown school.
